Objective
The aim of Monte Carlo Solitaire is to move all cards to the waste pile by matching pair of same-rank cards. The game is played using one standard 52-card deck.
Setup
TABLEAU - At the begining 25 cards are dealt into 5 rows of 5 cards each which resembles a grid with each cell containing one card.
STOCK - After dealing cards to the tableau remaining cards are set aside forming a stock pile.
WASTE - An empty waste pile to discard cards.
Gameplay
- Two cards of same rank can be discarded to the waste pile if they are placed next to each other horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
- After discarding pair of cards gaps are created in the tableau.
- Once all matching pairs are discarded, remaining cards can be condensed in the board (moved left and then up) so that all gaps are moved to the end.
- Empty gaps can be filled with cards from the stock pile by clicking on consolidate button which first condenses the board and then deals cards from the stock pile to the tableau.
The game is won once all cards are discarded to the waste pile.
Controls
Drag one card from the matching pair onto another card which will automatically move it to the waste pile.
