Pyramid Solitaire

The aim of Pyramid Solitaire is to move all cards from the pyramid to the foundation.

PYRAMID - At the begining player is dealt 21 cards face-up into six rows containing 1 to 6 cards forming shape of a pyramid. Each card in the pyramid (except the last row) is ovelapped by two cards.

STOCK - After dealing cards to the pyramid, remaining cards are set aside forming a stock pile.

WASTE - An empty waste pile.

FOUNDATION - An empty foundation pile.

  • The cards can only be removed in a pair if the sum of their values is 13. Jack is valued at 11, Queen 12 and King 13. So King can be removed alone.
  • Only those cards can be removed which are not covered by two overlapping cards.
  • The top card in the stock pile can be turned face-up anytime and is available for pairing with a card in the pyramid.
  • Face-up card in the stock pile can be moved to the waste pile and next top card from the stock pile can be turned face-up.
  • Top face-up cards from both the stock pile and the waste pile are available for pairing with a card in the pyramid.
  • Redeal is not allowed so when all cards are moved from the stock pile to the waste pile, game ends.

The game is won when all cards from the pyramid are moved to the foundation pile.

  • Drag and drop one card over another to match and discard.
