Five Field Kono is a two-player Korean game of strategy. The game is played on a 5x5 board with intersecting points where pieces are placed. One player plays with 7 WHITE pieces and another with 7 BLACK pieces which are placed on the opposite ends of the board at the beginning. The aim is to occupy all of opponent's starting positions to win. WHITE starts first. Players alternate turn to one piece diagonaly forward or backward.
There is no capture in the game and pieces can not jump over another piece. A point can only be occupied by one piece so it is possible to block opponent pieces from moving.
The game ends when a player moves all his/her pieces to occupy opponent's starting position.
